Modern Muscle Car
Pending1967 Ford Mustang
A Wedding Gift Becoming a First Car
A family heirloom Mustang, gifted at a wedding, being built as a daughter's first car — efficient, capable, and future-proof for a kid who will almost certainly inherit the horsepower addiction.
Build Concept
Light. Efficient. Ready When She Is.
This 1967 Mustang came to us as a wedding gift — a family car with history, character, and a grandfather-in-law's DIY fingerprints all over it. C-channel bumper, riveted repairs, the works. It needed love. It's getting it.
The plan is a modern high-performance, high-efficiency engine swap — keeping weight down, fuel economy up, and performance more than adequate for a first car. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a Ford 8.8 rear end, it'll be honest and engaging to drive. The goal is a car that's approachable enough for a new driver and rewarding enough to grow into — with a power figure around 400 horsepower and fuel economy that won't drain a teenager's wallet.
Exterior and interior styling decisions are pending client approval. The client is currently 3 years old, so major decisions will be revisited in approximately 13 years. The build, however, is already underway.

Styling decisions are being left to the intended driver. She's 3. We'll revisit this in about 13 years and build whatever she wants. That's the deal.
