Modernized Muscle Car

In Progress

1973 Plymouth 'Cuda

Panther Pink — or more correctly, Moulin Rouge according to Plymouth

A rescued 'Cuda brought back to life properly — mechanically sorted from top to bottom, sympathetic to what makes a 'Cuda special, with just enough modern engineering hidden beneath a period-correct appearance.

Build Concept

Classic Mopar. Properly Sorted.

This 'Cuda came to us with years of neglect and the character that comes with it — including a set of Panther Pink paint that wasn't a factory option in 1973. Mopar purists will correctly note this color was a 1970-71 offering, officially called Moulin Rouge by Plymouth. A previous owner had their own vision. We respected it and left the paint alone.

Everything else got sorted properly. The rear leaf springs were relocated for wider rear rubber. Front suspension fully rebuilt. The A833 transmission was rebuilt with overdrive internals swapped in — keeping the Mopar-correct gearbox while adding modern usability. Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and cam provide the performance foundation, topped with an original AAR-style 6-pack intake manifold and air cleaner — just like the legendary AAR 'Cuda — but with FiTech 3x2 EFI in place of the three 2-barrel carbs. Period-correct looks. Modern fuel delivery. MSD ignition handles the spark.

The Go Wing came in a box when the car arrived — uninstalled, waiting. It went on. A new front grille, aftermarket chin spoilers, and a set of original aluminum rear window louvers — sourced specifically because the modern reproductions are plastic and not worth putting on a car like this — complete an exterior that looks exactly as a well-sorted 'Cuda should. All new wiring harness, full fuel system, and all new brake lines throughout. This one was done right.

What Was Done

Key Modifications & Parts

Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads & Cam

A cohesive Edelbrock Performer RPM package provides the performance foundation — designed to work together for real street performance gains around 400 horsepower at the crank.

AAR-Style 6-Pack Manifold — FiTech 3x2 EFI

Original AAR 6-pack intake manifold and air cleaner setup — period-correct looks under the hood. Three 2-barrel carbs replaced with FiTech 3x2 EFI throttle bodies. Looks right. Runs better.

A833 — Rebuilt w/ Overdrive Internals

The Mopar-correct A833 manual transmission fully rebuilt with later overdrive internals swapped in. Keeps the right gearbox in the car while adding real-world usability on the highway.

MSD Ignition — Full Fuel & Brake System

MSD ignition, in-tank fuel pump, complete new fuel system, all new brake lines, and a full new wiring harness. Everything behind the scenes done right.

Relocated Rear Leaf Springs — Wider Rubber

Rear leaf springs relocated to allow wider rear tires. Front suspension fully rebuilt. This 'Cuda handles the way the body always suggested it should.

Original Aluminum Rear Louvers — Go Wing — Chin Spoilers

Original aluminum rear window louvers sourced specifically — the modern reproductions are plastic and not worth putting on a car like this. Go Wing installed. Aftermarket chin spoilers. New front grille. Every exterior detail chosen deliberately.
